A lot of things will change. A lot by some drastic means. Fauna Species. Coastal Lands. Some humans. Trump. And a lot of other things and all of it will start right from your living room.

The way we see TV these days will change. And, this won’t happen overnight, it will take years to happen so. The process is going on right now. Right now! As you finished binge-watching “Two and a Half Men” or maybe any film or stand-up on your phone or laptop. We already know much of our entertainment dose is spoonfed to us in the form of Youtube, Netflix, Hulu and a variety of other services. Okay, AltBalaji too.

This is already history. (the above picture)

This will be too. (the above picture)

I actually don’t remember the last time, I watched over any film on TV. Probably, there’s a lot of people in this league. The reason? We have a lot of entertainment systems onboard our personal smartphone babies. The rise of the internet and its usage over such entertainment spans the majority of the internet pie chart. There was something, we used to call as, “TV series”, in fact, we still do. But, popularity in this genre is now shared by another player namely, “web series”. No wonder, the sales of TV is hit and, people want their phones with unlimited specifications.

Let’s go by some personal anecdotes, Some 30 years ago, when I wasn’t even in my mother (Hello Dad!), my grandfather from my mother’s side bought on a TV. The whole family was nuts. Now, the craze was such that, this was the only TV in a radius of 1.5 to 2 km. And, there were some popular shows back then, Ramayana and The Mahabharata. People would die to watch them. So, on those days, when it was on TV, people would swarm in their house just to catch a glimpse of the episode. The craze was on such a level because apparently that time, Radio was the popular show, people loved that but it had a shortcoming. You can’t watch stuff with those voices simultaneously.

Now, 7–8 years ago, When we had that box sort of TV( we still have that one) in our home, our neighbor bought in a Flat LCD TV. We were amazed by that- the sleek look, the brilliant display, and whatnot. In fact, the whole neighborhood was. We often saw them hooked onto their TV and also some neighborhood people going into their home just to have a look at that, cause of all those redefined features it had. Now, they have got in with the culture, i-pads, smartphones and all that are the latest fashion to them. Yeah, they are quite rich though as for the show. But, you see the time with TV is now less. (No! I am not peeping into their home all day long! I am just saying what I see in the regular picture).

So, you see the trend I am trying to show? With age, technology has increased by folds and so has people’s demands. At one point of history, we had no sorts of homely entertainment besides the melody of mosquitoes and now we are scrolling through the menu in our phone to just pass our time.

The answer that I may be writing is much clear to you now. 20 years down the lane, you may not have a TV set in your living room, but that won’t actually change the definition of TV. You will still be watching some entertainment products like, films, music videos, serials that you were watching back then. The screen is going to be the same. The thing inside it is going to be the same. So, TV isn’t much likely to change. But, the way it will change is how it looks. From the big fat box, that you used to slap on whenever the picture wasn’t good, to a personal screen, that will stream in anytime you want.
